This was my first time seeing the Milk, I’d been desperate to see them live after listening to Tales from the Thames Delta and thinking what an amazing album it was and how good Rick’s vocals were. The show was at The Hoxton Hall which was a great little venue that felt like a theatre and was the perfect setting. It had the feel of a jazz club and the audience were very lively and clearly knew most of the words. They played their forthcoming album in full, which although I didn’t enjoy as much as Thames Delta, was really good and performed superbly. The Milk are so different from what’s currently out there and they’re hard to categorise, which I suppose is a good thing. They’re an awesome live band, they interact with the crowd and you really have to experience Rick’s vocals live he’s got such a powerful and soulful voice. Go and see the Milk, you will not be disappointed.
It beggers belief why these guys aren't household names! But saying that, if they were as big as Coldplay, then I wouldn't have experience the beautiful and intimate gig last night at the Leadmill, Sheffiled. To be able to be up close and personal with any band is how you should experience live music. The Milk are my new favourite band! Fantastic night! Can't wait to see them again! Huddy, Doncaster
