Live reviews
Almost any band can spend time in the studio and put out an good album but nowadays it takes something all the more special to be a truly great live band. The term horse power is normally attributed to cars but it would be equally as apt to use it to describe the wild and energetic live show that Pulled Apart by Horses put on. My first experience seeing them came in Brighton and it's fair to say they blew my mind. The way they take to the stage and immediately hit you with their presence is something many bands struggle with but when Pulled Apart by Horses are in the house you sure as heck know it. The Leeds-based band have only been around for six years but already have three albums to their name, the latest being September's 'Blood', and are fastly gaining a reputation for being one of the best live bands around. They have wowed crowds across the world as headliners and even gained new fans whilst supporting the likes of Biffy Clyro, Blood Red Shoes and Glassjaw. From the moment Pulled Apart By Horses take to the stage to the moment they leave every venue they fill becomes a pool of sweat and flailing bodies which will not rest until the end of the night. Musically there is always room for improvement and as Pulled Apart by Horses go from strength to strength on their releases it is clear that they still haven't reached the heights that they are capable of. As far as a live band go, however, they are amongst the best in the country and that is something that is very hard to replicate for any band they play with. Hats off to Pulled apart by Horses they seem to have mastered the art of putting on a sweaty, energetic, rowdy live show.
band started promptly. Starting off with first track off latest album - got the crowd going straight away. Played with some real energy, and really gave their all. Lead guitarist crowd surfed whilst playing and lead singer decided to climb up into the overhead balcony. Together the sound was epic and will definitely be seeing them again when they return to play down south. Get to see them when you can. 5*
They don't mess around! When it comes to the performance, nothing stands in their way. The energy in the show was mesmerising and quickly transferred to the audience. This band will definitely go places, with such an incredible front man, I have no doubts soon enough they will show up in the biggest UK festivals!
