Close Your Eyes

Close Your Eyes, because that's exactly what I wanted to do when watching this band play. This group is an American hardcore band from Texas, signed to Victory Records. Their first debut album was called 'We Will Overcome', which came out in 2010. Although I'm not much for this band, their music video for their first single called 'Song for the Broken', went viral on the internet by gathering over 2 million views, pretty impressive for any band starting out. Their debut album received positive reviews, for this type of genre you can understand why they are popular, but for someone that isn't into this scene of music it just sounds like a lot of the same screaming from every other pop-punk/ post-hardcore band. Maybe if you're into this kind of music you will be able to clearly define something unique about them, but for me it's another bunch of guys swinging their long hair about, screaming out loud lyrics and getting a bit too sweaty on stage for my liking. But I do appreciate what they do and how hard they work, you can tell they are passionate and if you like this genre of music I would definitely suggest deciding for yourself whether you'd want to see them live.
