Vanupié, Tryo, and Sinsemilia

Tyro are the French singing acoustic band that adopt a certain ska style in their music. They have quite a following in Europe and Quebec. Over the course of their career they have sold a staggering 900,000 albums. When they perform live, they are almost quite jokey; making jibes here and there to each other. When they perform live, the atmosphere is electric with the audience dancing no matter what the song, being fully invested in the sound that they make. It’s all about the ska with these guys. When they launch into their number 6 single “Desole pour hier soir”, the audience get a little bit rowdy, singing along, having the best time. “L’hymne de nos campagnes”, which made it to number 21 in France, elevate the atmosphere from a 10 to a 12 out of ten with punters singing along at the top of their lungs, chanting Tyro at the end of their set to get them back on stage for an encore.
