CHRIS DUARTE GROUP ROCKS REGGIES IN CHICAGO!!
I have been a long time attendee of CDG shows and it's been a couple of years since I've seen him.
The man is and always has been amazing at a legendary quality artist. His energy and skill draw people from all over the world to his show and this show at Reggies Juke Joint was no different, people from the north side to Indiana to Tokyo were in attendance to see another blistering CDG. No one left disappointed.
His set started ended just as it started out, with a blistering fury that showed off his musical expertise.
Classics like;
My Way Down
Cleopatra
Scrawl
Letter To My Girlfriend &
Crazy
And a sprinkling of covers like;
Screenwriters Blues
One More Cup of Coffee
And even a nod to the Beatles with For No One.
Clicking in at right around 2 hours, it was well worth the $20 cover.
Props go out to the opening local band Rebel Soul Revival who showed their eagerness and hunger to be a mainstay in the Chicago music scene.
Like Chris Duarte, Reggies is a can't miss venue with great staff and great grub. 5 stars across the board for performers and venue.
