Gørvell-Dahll started to play the piano at the age of six having various lessons whilst still in school. In his teenage years after discovering electronic music through esteemed artist Avicii, Gørvell-Dahll tried his hand at remixing a number of tacks and released his creations through YouTube and Soundcloud. The Norwegian music producer soon became noted for his seemingly infinite supply of remixes defined by his proclivity for upbeat and positive melodies and sparklingly bright production.
Gørvell-Dahll has released a number of successful remixes including Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” which has a play-count of over 15.8 million on Soundcloud, 40 million plays on YouTube and stayed in Romania’s Top 40 for 14 weeks. On top of this he released a remix of “Sexual Healing” which received over 250,000 plays within 10 days and the result of which left Gørvell-Dahll with a swollen fan base that were anticipating more releases from the producer. His remix “No Diggity Vs. Thrift Shop” has surpassed the one million mark on YouTube and as of 2014 was asked by Coldplay’s Chris Martin to create a remix of their song “Midnight”
2014 also saw Gørvell-Dahll warm up for Avicii at Findingd Festival in Oslo, Norway and replace the DJ due to health concerns on the MainStage in TomorrowWorld. Gørvell-Dahll has since signed a huge deal with Sony International and Ultra Records and partnered with the brand Electric Family to produce bracelets from which proceeds go to breast cancer awareness.
Absolutely Amazing. The venue was perfect, there was plenty of space and not overly crowded as it could have been. Such a great night, would recommend anyone to go see him.
