Die Fantastischen Vier

Seeing the hip hop band Die Fantastichen Vier perform at a festival was I think the best way to see the band. Their intense energy and performance value was matched by the epic lighting, smoke, fire, and audience of thousands. It’s refreshing to hear rappers to use their own native language (German), rather than sticking to the conventions of the industry and performing in English.
It’s also awesome that they’ve been together for over 20 years, had have the same line up as they always have. They opened their show with Sie ist Weg, and completely rocked it. Their articulation and diction is spot on, and the way that they were interacting with and bouncing off of each other was so cool to watch live. They even had some choreography throughout the song.
They went on to play mainly from their newest album Fur Dich Immer Noch Fanta Sie, which is simply epic, but hearing it live was even more incredible. The drum beat is so strong, and the musicians slightly mixes up some of the original versions with instrumental solos and extended choruses which was a lot of fun and really got the crowd going.
