Nora always delivers. A solid undercard of DJs had the intimate crowd assembled on The Riot Room patio buzzing in anticipation of her arrival on a drizzly and cool November night in Kansas City. Immediately preceding, Longer Days delivered a solid buildup, prepping for the arrival of our headliner. At the stroke of midnight, Nora arrived through the stage adjacent, patio entrance stairs without much fanfare. Upon taking her place at the decks, she immediately engaged the crowd. Nora delivered her patented silky smooth mixes over the next two hours, integrating fresh deep house beats with her own acclaimed work.
As an avid listener of Nora’s Purified Radio podcast, I am consistently impressed with her passion for innovation. In her mixes and remixes of her own tunes and other house favorites she seems to never be satisfied with the status quo. Her Riot Room performance was equally pleasing. Like a master weaver creating a complex tapestry, Nora creatively built the warp and weft of the beats into a continuous aural massage that left the audience craving a few hours more.
As Nora finished her set that included her requesite hits Lake Arrowhead, Come with Me, Fever, and True, she was extremely gracious and patient, spending better than ten minutes taking pictures and chatting with appreciative fans. I am personally thankful for getting to meet and capture a photo and a few brief words with one of my favorite artists.
what is not to love about Nora en Pure? She gives everyone goosebumps and she never disappoints! her performances are unlike any other. She stole the show at Miami Ultra music festival!! You have to listen to her shows as the rhythmic beats make anyone gyrate and put one on a spell for the day or evening. :)
Listen to her beats on Purified radio on YouTube. She combines African beats with euro techno sounds that brings the best of worlds!
it does not hurt that she comprehends the music culture beats of Johannesburg and Switzerland. Multiculturalism at its finest, haha!
Nora was great - as always but venue was major disappointment, same a last time I've been there.
Great sound system but in absolutely wrong hands.
Sound was horribly distorted for majority of time , after my inquiry sound man made some improvement but still not to the best ability of this equipment (well known to me otherwise).
Lighting guy was also not present - at least mind wise. Lack of any idea how to use quite capable lighting system. Show was visually sooooooo boring!!!
It was really sad to experience this GREAT performer presented such horribly.
Shame!!!!!
Most of Daniela's studio productions are more what I think of as Downtempo Deep House and was unsure if she could or how much she could turn it up for the club, but I LOVE her music, and this was the first time that she's ever been anywhere near where I live, so I just HAD to be there.. Well let me tell you, turn it up she did and she brought the heat for sure. If you like her productions and ever have a chance to actually catch her live, just DO IT!!! You won't regret it, I assure you... Not only are her productions great, but she's one Bad B in the Club....
I wish she had a quick autograph session for a few fans who would be thrilled to have a once in a lifetime experience to meet genuine people who have an appreciation for her mix. It was a bummer that the venue Temple is not spacious enough to accommodate a large crowd. It would vastly improve the venue there were Nora could meet a few well behaved fans.
Didn’t attend to this show. Artist was cancelled at the last hour. Awaiting for someone from management or other entity to contact me to refund my ticket. Thank you #coronavirus
