Jeremy Camp grew up surrounded by music. His father, Tom, was the pastor at Harvest Chapel, and taught him how to play guitar. After completing high school, Camp attended an Assemblies of God college in Southern California for two years and later earned an associate of theology degree from Calvary Chapel Bible College. He later played all over Southern California.
His career has been extremely successful to date, having scored 32 No.1 hits on Christian Radio across all formats. His album “Beyond Measure” contributed six back-to-back No. 1 hits, including his track “Let It Fade” which maintained the No. 1 spot for 10 weeks on AC Radio.
Camp landed top spots for “Take You Back” and “Lay Down My Pride”. He also was voted the Best Male Artists in the 2005 Reader’s Choice Music Awards in the Christianity Today Magazine. It was in 2005 that he won the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year and the Dove Award for Male Vocalist of the Year for the second consecutive year. His song “Open Up You Eyes” was featured on the original soundtrack of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
In 2007, the first single, “Tonight” from the album “Beyond Measure” was released in mid-August, and eventually made it to No. 1 on the Christian contemporary hit radio. “Give Me Jesus”, the third single released from the album made it into the top 5 on inspirational radio. It was this year that he released a two disc CD and DVD for his concert tour “Live Unplugged” recorded in Franklin, Tennessee.
His best selling album in his career so far has been “We Cry Out: The Worship Project” which was released on August 24th 2010. It made it to number 15 in the US charts and number 1 in the Christian charts.
Dear Mrs. CeCe Winans-Love my review on your concert that I attended last night was so very awesome! I absolutely had a wonderful time! It was a night that I will never forget. The love and devotion that she has for God is just so very amazing. A true Christian of Gospel music. I give the concert a 10 thumbs up!
Seeing Jeremy Camp two years ago at a local festival in Gilford NH at Soulfest was the best experience I had.
He is very passionate about his music and is a Christian singer. He plays at a lot of Christian music festivals throughout the year. One of his songs Overcome helps people to overcome a tragedy in their life whatever it might be. Jeremy Camp has released eleven albums. Now onto what soulfest is - soulfest used to be a four day Christian music festival, but this year has been moved to three days (I will still be there - that won't stop me!) It is an outdoor festival at gunstock mountain in Gilford NH at which over 100 Christian artists perform songs, Jeremy Camp two years ago being one of them. My favorite songs of his are Jesus Saves, Overcome and There will be a day, all of which he performed. There is so much to say about someone who is so passionate about their love for God and shows it every night. They are on fire, they have a light about them, and a joy about them. Which is something I hope to do one day.
Andrew Ripp is one of those singer songwriters who simply writes beautiful music, as in the kind of music that should be on the soundtracks of TV Shows. Fortunately, that was the first place that I heard Andrew Ripp’s song “You Will Find Me”, in one of those reflective moments of the hit television series, “One Tree Hill”.
Tonight there are a lot of fans in who simply follow some of the biggest artists in the “Nashville” scene, and there are some people who heard his song on OTH too. Fortunately the pace of “You Will Find Me” which is a worthy mid set song that maintains the vibe of well written pop songs with an acoustic edge that have a chorus that grabs you in such a way that it makes you sway, makes you sing and it makes you dance.
He finishes his set with a song called “Falling For The Beat”, which a stunning melody in the chorus led by a catchy piano melody. Ripp give songwriters a good name, with his refreshingly well-written songs.
